Dinner and dance ideas Singapore: beyond the lucky draw

30 October 2026 · The Joymakers Collective

Premium package: a white payphone styled on three pleated stands

The short answer: A good D&D has a theme people can dress for, a short programme, and something guests do themselves between courses. The lucky draw is the finale, not the whole night.

Ideas for the night

  1. Pick a theme

Retro, Great Gatsby or Hollywood give guests an easy dress code.

  2. Messages for the boss

Or for retiring staff. Guests record them on a video guestbook phone during dinner.

  3. Themed favours

Temporary tattoos or stickers in your theme's artwork.

  4. Awards

Mix real ones with light-hearted categories.

  5. Team performances

    Keep each to 5 minutes.

  6. A styled photo spot

Put it on the way in, when everyone looks their best.

What fits a retro theme?

A white 1957-style payphone video guestbook on a pleated stand, with flowers behind
A black 1957-style payphone video guestbook on a wooden crate, beside a video guestbook sign

A 1957-style payphone fits a retro, vintage or Hollywood theme without extra props.
