Wedding planning timeline Singapore: what to book 18, 12, 6 and 2 months out
31 October 2026 · The Joymakers Collective
The short answer: Book the venue first, then the people (photographer, emcee), then the extras. Most small rentals can be booked any time up to 18 months ahead, so lock them in once your date is fixed.
The timeline
- 18 to 12 months
Set the budget and guest list. Book the venue and date.
- 12 to 9 months
Book the photographer, videographer and emcee.
- 9 to 6 months
Choose attire. Book decor, florist and extras like a video guestbook.
- 6 to 3 months
Send invitations. Plan the programme and favours.
- 2 months
Pay remaining balances. Confirm numbers with the venue.
- 1 week
Confirm set-up times and on-site contacts with every vendor.
How do our rentals fit in?
If your wedding is 2 or more months away, a $50 reservation fee holds the date and comes off your total. We remind you on WhatsApp and email when the balance is due.
